About eight years ago Jay thought I needed a new hobby and purchased a used sewing machine for me. I think he was hoping I would start mending and making clothes. Instead I found a passion for quilting and building a fabric stash. After a year, the used machine gave out and we went to a dealer to buy a new machine. That's when I learned about machine embroidery.
I purchased the Bernina 180 and the Artista digitizing software. I took the classes my dealer offered, and online classes for digitizing with Artista.
After a couple of years I began to put some of my designs up for sale on my website. Over the years my digitizing skills have steadily increased and I'm very proud of my designs. I give each design a great deal of thought before manually digitizing it.
In April of 2003, I made the decision to take the hobby I love so much and turn it into a full fledged business. I purchased a commercial machine and Pulse digitizing software. My family room is Threadlove central. In addition I continue to digitize and sell designs through Oregon Patch Works.
I'm also one of the many great designers that provide designs for the Silver Threads Golden Needles (STGN) club.
I'm very proud to be one of the designers at Oregon Patch Works.
